I was sitting in the park just the other day Trying to read a book in the midst of all the people there, hey hey They expected me to turn the page and turn the page Cause that's what you do when you read among people who know books At my shoes this tiny ant mechanism Was working perfectly so I did not dare move my foot, hey hey And in line them girls where there, back next to back Shall I shoot them in the head or kiss them on their necks? Ch: Is this the love of the gods Or the weapons of love You have to go back to work Building this wall Stone after stone after stone Tomorrow I have to go back to work Building these things, stone after stone, hey hey Cause you have to work to earn good money And you need good money to make a good living that's what my parents say But as an outsider of a tiny ant mechanism How can you work when you dare not move a foot, hey hey You just turn the page and then you just turn the page That is, they say, how to read a book

Alone in my room I'm watching the dust There's peace all around Outside this crust I've simplified my life I've made it, it seems Sadness, pain and despair only come in my dreams I love you now With a love I can only find in myself And my love, you know Is the silence that sadness brings From the mountain I come To the mountain I'll go I'm one with the grass And the things you don't know I'm going to drink Drink to your health Then I will ride back all by myself I love you now With a love I can only give to myself And my love, you know Is the sadness that silence brings Alone in my room I'm one with the dust There's peace all around Outside this crust My heart is now light I've made it, it seems Anger, pain and despair only come in my dreams

Good Times 03:33
Well, tonight the good times have ended There's a wind blowing from the north And it sings of a new found loneliness Well, tonight I dream of her parents And how they accepted me as a son And gave me to eat and to drink like a son We both riding bikes in the afternoon I remember the happiness in her face When I told her that she was the chosen one But that was so many years ago So tomorrow I'll leave for a ride It will be just like every day's work With not much luggage, seeming quite unspectacular I don't know how to tell you this I'm leaving to where some sun warms my heart And I'll be fed and loved like a son And I'll remember us in the afternoon And the happiness in our faces When I look back from these ancient places Upon what's only been hours ago

I have to thank you, thank you all for your compassion You who are siblings to each other And even though I've never been your brother You fed me and you nursed me and you gave me wine to drink None of you was hostile or despising Some of you were even smiling at me All of you seemed to be trustworthy As I watched you playing from the edges of your community How strange I must appear to your shining eyes That are drinking life and red wine And even though my eyes, they, too, shine They shine in a completely different colour So I must leave, leave as you're laughing Thank you for the excellent food I know how much it will hurt if it's you who's leaving So I have to be the first to make that move

about

Recorded probably in 2004, in some basement refuge. Then forgotten about for years, rediscovered and published as I found it in 2007. Digitally available for free now. Enjoy!
